Acne is an inflammatory disease of the sebaceous follicles, which primarily affects the face, chest and back. Acne, pimples , small cysts, are not only unsightly, but also require a therapeutic treatment of the underlying medical condition which I can gladly advise you about in my surgery in Vienna. The sooner there is a diagnosis and the treatment is started, the greater the chance of a quick and noticeable success in the treatment. The timely commencement of treatment is very important to prevent the emergence of acne scars.
Time is an important factor in the treatment of acne.
The acne treatment is one of my priorities as a dermatologist, in which I have gained extensive experience and expertise. That is why I can offer a lot of information and various, effective therapies to my patients with this problem. However, the choice of an appropriate treatment is also dependent on the actual acne variant.
In addition to ointments and tablets, a microdermabrasion or medical peeling can also be be advisable for affected areas. Particularly good results are obtained by a treatment with a Fractional CO2 Laser. With this method the underlying skin layer is treated without damaging the epidermis ( top layer of skin ), resulting in a significantly reduced downtime.
Fractional CO2 Laser can be used for acne scars and other scars and wrinkles for skin rejuvenation.
I treat my patients with an eCO2 with Lutronic Technology.
How many treatments are recommended?
Depending on the initial situation, 2 – 4 treatments with 6 – 8 week intervals are required.
Before and after the treatment
Strict sun protection is necessary after the treatment. Before the CO2 Laser treatment the patient shouldn’t have a sun-tan.
